Our VoV (Vote Our Values) initiative continues to make a positive difference in helping elect progressive leaders in the November state election!  Join us on September 9!

STAND’s VoV initiative is all about civic engagement outreach. Our goals include:

  • Registering voters
  • Informing voters about the mechanics of voting in their districts, including requesting mail-in ballots
  • Increasing voter turnout by engaging voters in conversations regarding their concerns about life in NJ, and educating them on how the outcomes of the election impact those concerns
  • Increasing the chances of people voting by having them fill out Commitment-to-Vote postcards

We are doing this by being present as an organization and speaking to people at local, community events and public areas in areas that our Research Team has identified as being key to this election.

To be effective in reaching our goals, we will need dedicated volunteers to take the lead in our civic engagement outreach efforts! Please join us for our VoV kick-off on September 9th, 1:30-4:30 at the South Brunswick Public Library, where we will train and prepare our volunteers for this very important work. After this training, you will have all the knowledge and information you need to make a real difference in this initiative. There will be many opportunities to put this training to use to fit everyone’s schedule – including East Brunswick Day on September 23rd, Monday afternoons at the Greenwood Avenue Market in Trenton, and much more in the works!
