Youth Forum: Addiction, Segregation, and Political Participation

November 3, 2018 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

From the organizers:

Sisters and Brothers,

As you know we must encourage, protect and support our young people. We need their voices to be realized especially as it relates to the challenges they face each and every day.

We encourage you and your young people from middle school to college to attend a Youth Forum on Saturday, November 3 from 9 AM – 12 PM at Brookdale Community College Lincroft Campus, located at 765 Newman Springs, Rd, Lincroft, NJ. This event is hosted by Bethel Freehold and co-sponsored by NJ Citizen Action, NJ Coalition for Diverse and Inclusive Schools and Salvation and Social Justice. It is vitally important that we have the conversations about youth addiction, school segregation  in NJ and the millennial and voting with our youth.

We will hear from Charles Barker from Senator Cory Booker’s office around the importance of voting and millennial involvement in the political process; Elise Boddie Esq. from Rutgers Law, regarding the movement to desegregate New Jersey’s schools; and Maura Collinsgru from NJCA who will discuss teen addiction and proposed legislation that will help stem the tide.

Please join us with your young people at our Youth Forum.  We need your support and they need your support!

RSVP at event link.
