STAND General Meeting — A Renewable Energy Future for NJ
April 7, 2018 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Please join STAND CNJ on Saturday April 7th, 1-3 pm, for presentation + action session!
We are partnering with NJ League of Conservation Voters, Food & Water Watch and ReThink Energy NJ to discuss the future of energy in NJ and pipeline battles.
- How can we get NJ back on the path toward reduced greenhouse gas emissions and renewable, clean energy?
- How can NJ build its energy future WITHOUT building more pipelines?
- What can local residents do to stop the construction of the PennEast pipeline, the Williams-Transco pipeline, and the Franklin gas compressor station?
- How can we build an energy future that is not only environmentally friendly, but also environmentally just?
Ed Potosnak (New Jersey League of Conservation Voters), Patty Cronheim (ReThink Energy NJ), and Junior Romero (Food & Water Watch) will help us answer these questions.
Attendees will then have the opportunity to work on various action items, such as supporting relevant bills in the state legislature or letter writing on local issues. We’ll provide the materials and information, you provide your constituent voice! (* if you’d prefer to contact your representatives by phone, email or website, be sure to bring a cell phone or other device that can connect to wi-fi.)
Location: Presbyterian Church of Lawrenceville, 2688 Main Street (Route 206), Lawrenceville, NJ, 08648
