Trauma and Anxiety Across the Life Span

Trauma and anxiety are now common terms that are used to describe every day emotional experiences. We, as a society, are constantly bombarded with images, stories, and discussions of traumatic and/or anxiety related events. These trauma inputs can create strong emotional responses. It is not always easy to identify the difference between something that is upsetting and something that is traumatic.
In this presentation, we will be providing the definition of trauma and anxiety and help you determine when it may be creating a problem in your life and when it may be time to seek help. We will be discussing how trauma and anxiety present at different times in our lives (childhood, adolescence, pregnancy, and adulthood). We will also address how to manage these difficult emotions and discuss the various therapeutic options and services available in the area.
