From Standing Rock to Penn East: The Impact of Oil & Gas Pipelines

FreeThe Raritan Valley Community College Environmental Club and Social Action Collective’s Environmental Justice Partnership will be hosting a panel presentation. The event will be held in the RVCC Grand Conference Center. It is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
Panelists will speak about the environmental impacts of oil and gas pipelines including effects on water, agriculture, habitats, endangered species, preserved and sacred lands, public health, climate change, eminent domain and transitioning from fossil fuels to sustainable energy sources.
Speakers include: Jeff Tittel, Sierra Club N.J.; Patty Cronheim, ReThink EnergyNJ; Emile DeVito, N.J. Conservation Foundation;; Matt Smith, Food& Water Watch; Katie Smith, Pinelands Preservation Alliance; Michael Brogan, Assistant Professor, Rider University.
