In January 2019, Ms. Pruitt was appointed to fulfill an unexpired term on the Franklin Township council in Somerset County and go on to be elected to a full term as Councilperson At Large that November.  Serving a population of over 65,000 residents, she is currently the youngest member of the Township’s council and one of only two women serving.
