Princeton Community Democratic Organization meeting on voting rights
May 19 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Join us to learn about voting rights in our state and how we can help restore and expand this right for tens of thousands in NJ.
Counsel Henal Patel and advocate Ron Pierce of the NJ Institute for Social Justice will discuss the history of voter suppression in NJ, the current state of who can and cannot vote, and legislative initiatives that particularly address those who have been incarcerated and have lost their right to vote.
We will also welcome Assemblyman Andrew Zwicker who will speak in particular about his bill to allow primary voting for 17 year-olds who will be 18 by the November general election and more broadly about the issues of voter engagement and ways to support and expand voter participation.
We hope to see you there!
