NJ Healthcare Disparities and Access Inequity during Covid-19

June 6, 2021 @ 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm

Free

In May 2021, the State of New Jersey released data highlighting towns with populations over 10,000 people.  As compared to the statewide average of 62%, these NJ towns and cities, such as Trenton, Camden, Newark, and New Brunswick, have a first-dose vaccination rate among eligible residents of 40% or lower. Disparities in healthcare have become glaringly evident during the COVID-19 pandemic and will not be resolved after the pandemic begins to recede. Communities of color and undocumented immigrant populations have been disproportionately affected and action is needed.

This forum will provide education and awareness, as well as offer ways to
advocate for equity in healthcare services.
