Indivisible Together — Educate! Organize! Inspire!

May 21, 2017 @ 2:00 pm - 4:30 pm

Indivisible Together is a project of several Mercer County citizens’ groups dedicated to protecting core American values and universal human rights both locally and nationally. We are gathering in Lawrence Township to learn how to become more effective in confronting the many challenges to those rights and values by moneyed interests and by actions of the current national administration. All are welcome!
“Educate! Organize! Inspire!”
Join us as we welcome area faith and civic leaders who will educate us on strategies, organize our many groups into one powerful force for positive change, and inspire us to action.
Speakers will include Pastor Karen Hernandez-Granzen of Trenton’s Westminster Presbyterian Church and a founding member of Indivisible (609).
The focus of the meeting is a training session by Community Organizer Archange Antoine, Executive Director of Faith in New Jersey, a multi-faith and multi-racial organizing network. Archange will introduce us to the theory and practice of successfully advocating for caring and inclusive communities.
This is the time to:
Educate: Learn how to effectively advocate for the causes YOU care about — health care, immigration, environmental protection, economic justice, voting rights, peace activism…
Organize: Create action groups around your issues. Plan for power building, lobbying, phone calls, letters, demonstrations…
Inspire: Support each other both symbolically and practically. Recognize the power of forming relationships and working together for the common good.
We are non-partisan organizations and our gathering will not favor any political party of candidate.
