Immigration Today: A Community Dialogue

Please join us for an evening of presentations on U.S. immigration policy and its impact on our communities. All are welcome.

Speakers & Topics will include:
Princeton Professor Doug Massey will speak about “Why Border Enforcement Backfired” (a short history on how our nation found ourselves in the complicated immigration situation we’re in).
Erika Nava from NJ Policy Perspective will tell us about the important contributions of the immigrant and undocumented communities on NJ’s economy.
Dina Mansour from the NJ Alliance for Immigrant Justice will update us on the current situation regarding ICE and their tactics, and clear up some common misunderstandings surrounding the undocumented population.

Most importantly, we will be introducing attendees to concrete actions they can sign up for to help immigrants in their local communities.
