(609) 395-9032 Chair (fax)

Though the US Congress has been chipping away at gun safety regulations, our NJ state lawmakers have been picking up the slack! Last week, the state assembly passed A2938, a bill that removes firearms from people determined to be a danger to themselves by mental health professionals.

The next step is passing the bill in the state Senate. The Senate version of the bill is S2615, and it has been in the Senate’s Law and Public Safety Committee since last September.

Call state Sen. Linda Greenstein, chair of the Law and Public Safety Committee, to ask them to move this bill along, so that S2615 can be voted on in the state Senate.
